Online Services

We have a range of online services, processing your prescriptions electronically, booking appointments online, and viewing your medical record.

The Electronic Prescribing System (EPS) means that instead of you making the journey from the GP to collect the prescription and then onto the pharmacy, EPS makes that journey for you.  Once you have chosen a pharmacy you normally collect from and have let Patient Services know, after 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays) of ordering you will then be able to collect the medication straight from the pharmacy.  If you order your prescriptions online this means that you won't have to come into the surgery at all unless requested.

Online Appointment Booking Service

You are now able to book routine GP appointments online.  In order to book these appointments you must first register.  To do this please phone Patient Services on 01244 563105 or ask at the Patient Services Desk where you will be given a individual log in and password.  Please note - for acute 'on the day' appointments you must ring the surgery as these cannot be booked on line.

You can now access current information of services in your area. Simply click the above icon and follow the easy to use steps to find the information you require.

Patient Access Form

In line with government guidelines Heath Lane Medical Centre have enabled patients to view their medical records as part of Patient Access.

Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday.

To apply for access to your medical records, please print and complete the below online form or request a questionnaire from reception next time you are at the practice.

Welcome to the Heath Lane Medical Centre Website

Through this website we hope to improve our services to all our patients and enable them to find information easily and quickly. You can order repeat prescriptions online, book an appointment, register as a new patient, cancel existing appointments, change your name and address and much more.

Heath Lane Medical Centre was opened in 1995 and there is extensive car parking with easy access for the disabled. On the ground floor there are five consulting rooms, three practice nurse rooms, a treatment room and a minor surgery room as well as rooms for the Counsellor and Phlebotomist. Baby changing facilities and a disabled person’s toilet are sited off the large waiting area. For our patient's convenience we have an independently run pharmacy on site.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Across Cheshire the NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to the local communities.

All adults are eligible from Monday 13 December, and you will be able to book via the National Booking System from Wednesday 15 December.

You can book your booster 3 months from the date of second vaccine, and you can access the National Booking System to book the appointment from 2 months.

Work is being done to increase the availability of appointments so that there are plenty of options for people on the National Booking System. Some local vaccination services will also contact patients directly.

New appointments are being added every day across our vaccination services. Further availability will come online from Wednesday 15 December.

Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group will be working with all local sites to take further steps to increase what they can offer again, including opening later and on more days.

All of these appointments will be added to the National Booking System and so we encourage everyone who is aged 18 and over, is yet to have their booster and who is approaching 3 months from your second vaccine to use the National Booking System to arrange your appointment when you are able to do so.

In terms of any planned appointments with Heath Lane Medical Centre, there are no changes at the current time and everyone should attend their planned appointments as normal. If we need to make any changes, we will contact you.

A message from the team

The Team at Heath Lane are still here for you!

Throughout the pandemic all members of staff  at Heath Lane have continued to provide care to the community albeit slightly differently. Back in March we moved over to a telephone triage system when our GP’s, ANP’s  Practice Nurses and HCA’s  triaged any appointments and dealt with what they could via a telephone call/video consultation and brought patients in if they needed to be seen face to face and not displaying any signs of COVID-19 (All patients who needed to be seen face to face but displayed signs of COVID-19 were diverted to the HOT HUB at the Countess of Chester Hospital) We have continuously put the safety of patients and staff at the heart of everything we do and will continue to do so throughout the pandemic and after.

Lately we have had a lot of patients querying if ‘’GP’s are still working?’’ ‘’Why can’t we be seen in person’’ etc..   And the team would like to reassure patients that we are still providing exactly the same service but over different formats to reduce foot  fall to the practice and saving patients unnecessary journeys to the practice, we are following national guidance and will continue to do so as is every other GP practice in the area.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these difficult times.

The Heath Lane Team.
