Online Services

We have a range of online services, processing your prescriptions electronically, booking appointments online, and viewing your medical record.

The Electronic Prescribing System (EPS) means that instead of you making the journey from the GP to collect the prescription and then onto the pharmacy, EPS makes that journey for you.  Once you have chosen a pharmacy you normally collect from and have let Patient Services know, after 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays) of ordering you will then be able to collect the medication straight from the pharmacy.  If you order your prescriptions online this means that you won’t have to come into the surgery at all unless requested.

NHS App

The NHS App allows you to access a range of NHS services, you must be aged 13 or over and registered with a GP surgery in England to be able to register. Patient Access Form

In line with government guidelines Heath Lane Medical Centre have enabled patients to view their medical records as part of Patient Access.

Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday.

To apply for access to your medical records, please print and complete the below online form or request a questionnaire from reception next time you are at the practice.

Proxy Access via NHS App 

A GP surgery can give someone proxy access so they can help another person manage their GP health and care. A proxy may be able to act for the person they support by:  ordering repeat prescriptions booking appointments online viewing test results or vaccinations accessing all or part of the GP health record, to help with health-related tasks and managing health issues Reasons for wanting or needing help could include: having a physical or mental health condition technical barriers, for example not having a computer or a smartphone language barriers, for example if it’s not easy to access services in English practical reasons, for example working shifts or unsocial hours age, for example a child may need a parent to manage their GP services If you’re aged 16 or over, you can ask for someone to be your proxy for any reason. It does not stop you having access to your GP services yourself. If you help someone else with prescriptions, booking appointments or managing their health and care, getting proxy access could make it easier and more convenient.
