NHS app

We would prefer that you use the NHS App, a more convenient way for you to manage your repeat medications! By using the NHS App, you can order your repeat prescriptions quickly and easily, without the need for traditional paper slips.

Why Make the Switch?

  1. Convenience: Order your medications anytime, anywhere, directly from your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Speed: Save time and money by avoiding trips to the practice just to drop off a repeat slip.
  3. Efficiency: Track your prescription status and receive notifications when your medication is ready for collection.
  4. Security: Your medical information is securely stored and accessible only to you.

How to Get Started

  1. Download the NHS App from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Register and verify your identity.
  3. Link your account to our practice.
  4. Start ordering your repeat medications with just a few taps!

Making the switch to the NHS App not only saves you time but also helps us streamline our services, ensuring we can provide the best care possible. If you need assistance setting up the app, please ask at reception or attend one of our NHS App drop-in sessions, run by our PPG.

By repeat slip

Use the paper repeat slip from your previous pharmacy collection or ask reception to generate a new one for you. These must be securely fastened together and clearly marked and then put them in the post-box on the outside wall by the main entrance. Requests left in the waiting area or at the reception desk will be destroyed for data protection purposes.

By post

If you enclose a repeat slip with stamped and addressed envelope, your prescription will be returned to you.

Please allow 2 working days for your prescription to arrive at your chosen pharmacy. If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope, your prescription will be posted to you.

No requests for medication will be accepted over the telephone

Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)

EPS enables prescribers – such as GPs and practice nurses – to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient’s choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff. For more information, please contact Patient Services on 01244 563105.

You can find your nearest pharmacy on the link below

NHS Choices Find A Pharmacy

Please allow 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays) for your prescription to arrive at your chosen pharmacy. If you enclose a stamped addressed envelope, your prescription will be posted to you. If a prescription is required in an emergency, please inform the receptionist on 01244 563105
